The Greater
Sebring Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) not for profit
corporation under provisions contained in the Internal Revenue
Service Code and Chapter 617 of the Florida Statutes.
Dues paid to the Chamber are not
deductible as a charitable contribution for income tax purposes, but
for most businesses, are deductible as a regular and ordinary
business expense under the Internal Revenue Service Code. A portion
of dues, however, may not be deductible as regular and ordinary
business expense to the extent that The Greater Sebring Chamber of
Commerce engages in state and/or federal lobbying. That amount
projected for this current year is less than 1 (one) percent of the
Chamber’s income. The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce is not
exempt from the payment or collection of Florida State Sales Tax.
