| The
annual dues investment is according to a schedule adopted by the Board of Directors.
According to the latest dues investment schedule, annual dues will be $250.00,
plus a one time application and account set-up fee of $25.00 for a total
of $275.00. The Greater Sebring
Chamber of Commerce is a 501 (c)(6) not for profit corporation under provisions contained
in the Internal Revenue Service Code and Chapter 617 of the Florida Statutes.
Dues paid to the Chamber are not deductible as a charitable
contribution for income tax purposes, but for most businesses, are deductible as a regular
and ordinary business expense under the Internal Revenue Service Code. A portion of
dues, however, may not be deductible as a regular and ordinary business expense to the
extent that the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce engages in state and/or federal
lobbying. That amount projected for this current year is less than 1 (one) percent
of the Chamber's income. The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce is not exempt from
the payment or collection of Florida State Sales Tax. |

the date of application; the applicant subscribes to the objects, proposes and programs of
the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce as defined in the organization's most recent
Bylaws and Program of Work; dues paid to the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce are
refundable only if the applicant is denied membership; once approved by the Board of
Directors, the designated voting member may be changed only by the owner or Chief
Executive Officer of the business by written notice; a member may resign membership by
written notice only, and may be dismissed from membership by the Board of Directors if
dues are over 90 days in arrears. |
